Valerie Alvarado is a seasoned professional in the spirits industry, now proudly representing Don Julio Tequila as the Brand Ambassador for Colorado where she brings the brand to life through education, storytelling and creative brand experiences. Valerie ventured into the world of agave spirits as a brand ambassador over five years ago where she played a pivotal role in driving brand growth for multiple portfolios. With a background in bartending at one of the world’s Top 50 Best Bars and Best American Bar Team Finalist, Williams & Graham, Valerie has cultivated a strong reputation for her creativity, resilience, and ability to foster meaningful connections in the trade. Her passion for hospitality, education, and creativity earned her recognition, including the title of Top Bartenders of 2016 by Eater Magazine. She has a passion for showcasing the rich heritage of agave spirits and continues to create impactful brand experiences that resonate with both trade partners and consumers. When she’s not elevating the agave category, Valerie enjoys exploring the world in search of the next great bite, sip, grand adventure, or punny dad joke.
